Position Overview
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the community. The ideal candidate will have prior apartment maintenance experience and be comfortable handling a variety of repair and maintenance tasks independently.
Your expertise will help ensure residents enjoy a well-maintained living environment and that vacant units are prepared efficiently for new move-ins.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician will:
- Complete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing issues
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and light electrical repairs
- Diagnose and repair household appliances
- Complete carpentry repairs, drywall work, painting touch-ups, and general property upkeep
- Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparation for incoming residents
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Identify maintenance concerns and report issues to management as needed
- Support community maintenance goals and resident satisfaction initiatives
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Previous apartment maintenance experience required
- Strong knowledge of residential maintenance systems and repair techniques
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and drywall
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Reliable transportation
- Own tools required
