As a Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, attractiveness, and overall upkeep of our apartment complex's indoor and outdoor areas.


Great entry level position to assist in all aspects of property management in a high-rise community, while learning maintenance. Opportunity for advancement.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as trimming hedges, and watering plants to maintain a visually appealing landscape.
  • Keep outdoor spaces free from debris, litter, and other safety hazards.
  • Perform regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address maintenance needs, such as repairing fences, and walkways.
  • Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of the property.
  • Clean vacant apartments in preparation for new move-ins.
  • Clean common halls.
  • Help maintain pool, pool area and pool bathrooms.
  • Remove ice and snow from walkways, porches, and drives as deemed necessary for safety.
  • May help turn vacant apartments to make them ready for leasing.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of landscaping techniques, equipment, and plant care.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining outdoor spaces.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
