Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at an apartment community in Carrollton, TX. This position is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, units, and common areas, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing issues, completing work orders, conducting unit turns, and performing preventive maintenance to protect assets and ensure resident comfort and safety. The Maintenance Technician will inspect equipment and facilities, coordinate with vendors as needed, and maintain a clean, organized work environment and maintenance shop. The role also involves interacting professionally with residents and team members, communicating repair status, and adhering to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to service building systems, units, and common areas.
  • \n

  • Ability in Troubleshooting and Industrial Maintenance to diagnose issues and work with mechanical, electrical, and related systems.
  • \n

  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance to schedule, perform, and document routine inspections and upkeep.
  • \n

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair in a residential or multifamily setting.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • \n

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, EPA Section 608) and familiarity with safety regulations and building codes are beneficial.
  • \n

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment, use hand and power tools safely, and work both indoors and outdoors as required.
  • \n

  • Strong communication skills, customer-focused approach, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • \n

  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and maintain reliable transportation to the site.
