Job DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Groundskeeper to maintain city properties and road easements. This role requires basic knowledge of landscaping, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. This position is located in Antelope, OR.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Mow and maintain city properties and road easements as outlined on the city map.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including:
- Bad Boy zero-turn mower
- Weed eater
- Maintain essential tools and supplies (gas, oil, miscellaneous).
- Perform basic landscaping tasks using hand tools such as rakes, hoes, shovels, and hand sprayers.
- Maintain accurate timesheets and report weekly.
- Handle basic chemical applications as needed (with proper safety precautions).
Equipment & Safety Requirements
- Equipment Provided: Zero-turn mower, weed eater, basic hand tools.
- Safety Gear Required: Safety glasses, gloves, and boots.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Exposure to dust, weeds, grass, and potentially chemicals.
- Ability to work independently.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Employees are subject to drug screening and background checks.
- Must comply with all city policies.
Job Details
- Employment Period: May – September (Possibly October)
- Schedule: Part-time, 3–7 hours per week. Hours may vary weekly or biweekly with prior authorization.
- Reports to: Mayor or Firewise Coordinator
CompensationPay: $15–$20/hour (Dependent on Experience)
