Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor / Facilities Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across office and facility spaces. This role is responsible for performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance duties to support daily operations and ensure a professional environment for staff and visitors.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Cleaning & Office Areas

1. Empty trash and recycling receptacles; replace liners as needed
2. Clean and maintain floors (sweep, mop, vacuum) to ensure they are free of debris and spills
3. Dust and clean desks, furniture, ledges, sills, and other surfaces
4. Clean interior glass, pictures, and fixtures
5. Maintain cleanliness without disturbing working materials or equipment

Restrooms

1. Clean and sanitize all restroom fixtures, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and dispensers
2. Restock supplies such as paper products and soap
3. Ensure floors are clean and free of water marks or debris

Common Areas (Conference Rooms, Lobbies, Hallways)

1. Clean and maintain conference rooms, lobbies, entrances, and hallways
2. Dust furniture and surfaces; remove trash and debris
3. Clean and disinfect drinking fountains and high-touch areas

Breakroom / Kitchen Areas

1. Clean and sanitize countertops, tables, and sinks
2. Sweep and mop floors
3. Empty trash and replace liners
4. Clean dishes left in sink when necessary

Floor & Carpet Care

1. Sweep and damp mop hard surface flooring
2. Vacuum carpets and walk-off mats using HEPA filter vacuums
3. Remove gum and debris as needed
4. Return moved furniture to original positions

Exterior Areas

1. Maintain exterior entryways by sweeping and removing debris
2. Pick up and dispose of large outdoor trash items

Additional Duties

1. Assist with moving materials or equipment (up to 50 lbs)
2. Replace light bulbs and batteries as needed
3. Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management for restocking
4. Ensure all equipment and supplies are secured at the end of each shift
5. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications

1. Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
2. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
3. Strong attention to detail and reliability
4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
5. Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
6. Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and tools
7. Basic knowledge of cleaning products and proper usage
8. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
9. Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions

Work Environment

1. Active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motion
2. Work may involve indoor and outdoor environments
3. Exposure to various lighting conditions and cleaning materials
4. Use of ladders and cleaning equipment as needed
