Position Overview
Legion Corporation Security is seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Security Officer for an overnight assignment at a residential high-rise in Seattle, Washington.
This position requires an individual who can maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and property personnel. The ideal candidate is attentive, approachable, confident in handling challenging situations, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the assigned shift.
- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the property, including common areas, entrances, stairwells, and designated locations.
- Monitor building access points and address unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to residents, guests, and property personnel.
- Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, safety concerns, and requests for assistance.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, patrol documentation, and incident reports.
- Communicate significant incidents and operational concerns promptly to company leadership.
- Enforce property rules and established security procedures professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain situational awareness and remain attentive throughout the overnight shift.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must meet Washington State requirements for unarmed security personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance.
- Ability to conduct routine foot patrols and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to handle challenging interactions calmly and professionally.
- Ability to follow written post orders and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, concierge services, hospitality, or residential property operations.
- Experience working in residential high-rise buildings.
- Familiarity with access control systems, incident reporting, and emergency response procedures.
