Maintenance Shift Lead – Night Shift

Schedule

  • Thursday: 11:00 PM – 5:15 AM
  • Friday to Sunday: 5:00 PM – 5:15 AM

Note: This schedule is fixed. Candidates must be able to work these days and hours.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $38–$42 per hour (based on experience)
  • Shift Premium: Additional 8%
  • Relocation: Non-local candidates are welcome to apply; however, relocation expenses are the candidate’s responsibility.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Shift Lead supervises and coordinates the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), operational targets, and high housekeeping standards. This role provides both proactive and reactive technical guidance, addresses skills gaps, and drives continuous improvement to maximize safety and equipment uptime. Leadership experience and strong technical knowledge in Maintenance Engineering are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture; identify and lead team training needs.
  • Act as the technical lead in incident investigations and safety initiatives.
  • Assign and coordinate team activities; manage live issues and ensure KPI achievement.
  • Set expectations and provide feedback to maintain performance, ethics, and operational standards.
  • Lead daily shift meetings; ensure accurate and timely work order documentation.
  • Oversee apprentice training per departmental and apprenticeship requirements.
  • Promote continuous improvement through data analysis and lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead group projects and assignments; create development opportunities for the team.
  • Support the department manager in coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Assist in organizing headcount and overtime needs to meet production and delivery goals.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (as recognized by local regulations).
  • Significant experience in technical maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Specialized skills gained through education, training, and hands-on experience.
  • Prior leadership experience is required.
