Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Imaging Technologist Assistant for our busy Imaging Department. The Imaging Technologist Assistant will work closely with all technologists in multi-modalities by providing support and helping create departmental efficiency. The Imaging Technologist Assistant will serve as an aide to assist in all aspects of the department. This position requires travel to any CSNF clinic or location that provides imaging services. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepares exam room with necessary supplies and equipment for the diagnostic procedure.
  • Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during the transport to and from the mobile coach/facility, and during the exam.
  • Assist technologist with positioning patient for correct exam.
  • Interacts professionally and effectively with physicians, technologists, patients and families.
  • Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.
  • If applicable, assists with the set up and/or shut down of equipment in accordance with CSNF and/or manufacturers’ guidelines.
  • Completes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. EMR charges, Imaging Assessments).
  • Answers the phone and fields questions appropriately.
  • Performs clerical duties as necessary for all diagnostic procedures.
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties assigned, including venipuncture and removal of IV’s.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Full-time Position, Monday – Friday

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Imaging/Radiology experience preferred but not required.
  • 0-3 years experience as a medical/tech assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid BLS certification required
