We are hiring an experienced Equipment & Maintenance Manager for a full-time opportunity in San Luis Obispo, CA, offering $52.88–$67.31 per hour, DOE. This is a temp-to-hire (3–4 months) or direct-hire position, working Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. The role will lead maintenance operations and oversee technicians responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fueling systems, fleet equipment, mechanical assets, and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily equipment and maintenance operations and supervise maintenance personnel.
• Schedule and prioritize work orders, repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations.
• Provide technical guidance for mechanical, fueling, pumping, piping, fleet, and facility equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams while monitoring equipment reliability, inventory, and costs.
• Maintain service records and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership or management experience in maintenance, industrial, technical, fleet, facilities, or a related environment.
• Strong background in maintenance operations, equipment repair, fleet, or facilities management.
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid California Class C Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass a background check.
