Are you someone who enjoys fixing things, solving problems, and keeping equipment running smoothly? We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician who is ready to learn, grow, and help keep our plant operating safely and efficiently.
The purpose of this role is to: The Maintenance Technician supports all areas of the plant by performing preventative maintenance and assisting with equipment troubleshooting and repair. This role focuses on basic mechanical and electrical repairs and operates under supervision, helping ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical issues on plant equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Assist with minor fabrication and welding (basic MIG) tasks.
- Complete basic maintenance reports and documentation as required.
- Follow all OSHA and plant safety requirements.
- Respond to off-hour calls under guidance when necessary.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with MENK-USA LLC ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and relevant policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read simple mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Basic use of tools and measuring equipment (tape measure, caliper, voltmeter).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow directions.
- Strong work ethic, reliable, and capable of multi-tasking.
Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Electrical or mechanical certification preferred.
- Able to use tape measure, caliper, micrometer, voltmeter, and other basic precision tools.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- 2+ years of facility or equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with PLC fundamentals.
- Assists with fixed automation repairs and basic welding (MIG).
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment
- Familiarity with motors, control circuits, and 480V/3-phase systems
- Ability to read basic electrical diagrams
- Use of multimeters and basic electrical testing tools
- Understanding of industrial safety practices, including lockout/tagout
- Exposure to part/machine drawings, schematics, hydraulic and wiring diagrams.
- Strong work ethic, ability to multitask, effective communication skills, and the ability to read and understand safety procedures and work instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, squat, and kneel for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when required
- Ability to travel throughout the facility to perform job duties
- Ability to spend extended periods of time in a production environment
- Ability to lift and move materials using appropriate equipment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
