Somerset Auto Repair is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shop Janitor / Facility Assistant to help keep our facility clean, organized, and professional for both our team and our customers.
This role is important to our daily operations. You will help maintain customer areas, office spaces, restrooms, and shop floors so that our shop stays safe, clean, and welcoming throughout the day.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, notices what needs to be cleaned or restocked, and takes pride in keeping things spotless without needing constant direction.
What You'll Do
* Clean and maintain customer lobby, offices, and restrooms
* Vacuum and mop lobby and shop floors multiple times per day
* Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, mirrors, and restroom fixtures
* Empty trash and dispose of shop waste regularly
* Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, coffee supplies, and trash bags
* Wipe down furniture, counters, and common surfaces throughout the day
* Help keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
* Assist with general facility upkeep as needed
* Run light errands such as dropping off mail or picking up parts
* Occasionally pull vehicles in and out of the shop when needed
*Start time is 7:00 AM
Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
* Reliable transportation
* Strong attention to detail
* Dependable and punctual
* Able to work independently and stay productive
Preferred (Not Required)
* Clean driving record and ability to move vehicles in and out of the shop
* Janitorial, facility cleaning, or maintenance experience
