Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a precision manufacturing operation that specializes in CNC machining and secondary processing, including centerless grinding, broaching, honing, welding, plating, and more. With the capacity to process 80–100 tons of material per month using a wide range of materials such as aluminum, brass, plastics, carbon and stainless steel, superalloys, castings, and forgings, this role serves industries from automotive to medical and oil & gas. As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain mission-critical CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and support systems in a high-volume, tolerance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC machinery, grinding, honing, welding systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Support installation, calibration, and commissioning of new machining and finishing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
  • Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment uptime and performance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Proficient in mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and PLCs.
  • Skilled at interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Comfortable with hand and power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic testers.
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience with CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas) is a plus.
  • Familiar with secondary processes like grinding, plating, and welding is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with machining superalloys, castings, and forgings is beneficial.
  • Certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields is preferred.

Work Environment

First shift from Monday to Thursday, 7am to 5pm, and Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Operate in a high-output CNC job shop, a fast-paced, precision-driven setting demanding consistent reliability and performance. Be prepared for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and climbing, with regular lifting of up to 50 lbs. Exposure to industrial conditions such as noise, variable temperatures, and machining environments is expected.

This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41000.00 - $58000.00/yr.
