One of Swoon's top clients, a global specialist in energy management, automation and digitalization is hiring BAS Technicians to join their team out of Dallas.
About the Role
Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician Location: Dallas, TX (Greater DFW) Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: Positions start at $54,000 + benefits.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the functional testing, startup, and checkout of new control systems to ensure flawless operation
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair low-voltage control system wiring, hardware communication lines (BACnet, Modbus), and field software
- Assist in loading, testing, and tuning system databases and control devices
- Create and maintain precise test records, field checklists, and as-built markups for design documentation changes
Qualifications
- Experience Track 1 (Experienced): Prior field experience working for a commercial HVAC systems integrator, mechanical contractor, or building automation company
- Experience Track 2 (Trade Graduate): Recent graduates from an accredited trade school or community college with a degree/certificate in Commercial HVAC, Industrial Automation, or Electrical Technology AND a valid Niagara N4 Certification
- A strong foundational understanding of commercial HVAC equipment (RTUs, VAVs, air handlers), low-voltage wiring, and electrical schematic reading
- A valid driver's license and the physical capability to navigate active commercial construction environments
