Key Responsibilities
- High-Level Customer Service: Act as the friendly, professional face of our maintenance department. Provide a premium service experience by being personable, polite, and attentive to every homeowner’s needs.
- System Maintenance & Inspections: Perform routine tune-ups, preventative maintenance, safety checks, and cleaning on residential heating and cooling systems (Furnaces, AC units, Heat Pumps, and Ductless Minisplits).
- Effective Communication: Clearly explain maintenance findings, system health status, and preventative options to customers so they feel informed and confident about their equipment.
- Site Stewardship: Maintain a safe, organized jobsite. We leave every home cleaner than we found it, respecting the customer’s property and equipment at all times.
- Full-System Thinking: Look beyond basic cleaning to identify potential wear and tear, alerting senior technicians or service managers when advanced repairs or troubleshooting are needed.
- Growth & Training: Commit to mandatory company training, hands-on mentorship, and continuing to develop your trade skills, certifications, and system knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 1+ years of HVAC experience OR demonstrated mechanical aptitude/experience in related trades (e.g., maintenance, automotive, plumbing, or electrical) with a strong desire to learn and transition into HVAC.
- Licensing: EPA Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire). RMGA certification is a plus.
- Skill Set: General mechanical aptitude, comfort with hand tools, basic electrical understanding, and a willingness to learn refrigeration cycles and smart system controls.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a "customer-first" mentality, strong work ethic, and a positive, coachable attitude.
- Tools: Basic set of personal hand tools (specialized tools and diagnostic equipment provided or supported through company programs).
- Physicality: Ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders as needed.
