We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance while troubleshooting and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a strong safety mindset and adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician II will work independently and alongside plant personnel to:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Support equipment reliability and production efficiency
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes
  • Utilize CMMS to manage work orders and track maintenance history
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Replace and rebuild components including gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts
  • Perform scheduled PMs on production equipment
  • Set molds in injection molding machines (with assistance)
  • Operate powered lift equipment (forklifts, hoists, wave pickers)
  • Support a positive and proactive safety culture
  • Participate in shift meetings and maintenance training programs

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Experience working with PLC systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Ability to work in extreme seasonal temperatures
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to complete a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test (clean-shaven requirement except mustache)
  • Strong safety track record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical trade certificate or post-secondary education
  • Experience using CMMS or maintenance software
  • Proficiency with basic office software
