We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance while troubleshooting and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a strong safety mindset and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II will work independently and alongside plant personnel to:
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
- Support equipment reliability and production efficiency
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes
- Utilize CMMS to manage work orders and track maintenance history
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Replace and rebuild components including gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts
- Perform scheduled PMs on production equipment
- Set molds in injection molding machines (with assistance)
- Operate powered lift equipment (forklifts, hoists, wave pickers)
- Support a positive and proactive safety culture
- Participate in shift meetings and maintenance training programs
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience working with PLC systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Ability to work in extreme seasonal temperatures
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Ability to complete a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test (clean-shaven requirement except mustache)
- Strong safety track record
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical trade certificate or post-secondary education
- Experience using CMMS or maintenance software
- Proficiency with basic office software
