Job DescriptionPosition Overview

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure optimal uptime and operational efficiency. This role supports mechanical and electrical systems and plays a key role in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems)
  • Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs or component replacements to minimize downtime
  • Execute preventive maintenance (PM) programs, work orders, and routine inspections
  • Support equipment installation, relocation, and upgrades
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Maintain inventory of parts and coordinate reordering as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly functioning tools
  • Communicate equipment issues and improvement opportunities to leadership
  • Support training and onboarding of new maintenance team members
  • Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Electrical systems (single & three-phase motors)
    • Hydraulics and pneumatics
    • Mechanical systems and general equipment repair
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance documentation
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); CMMS experience is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
