Experienced Leasing Consultant

Career Strategies is seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant to join our team! If you’re a people person with strong sales skills, excellent communication, and a passion for helping people find the right place to call home, we want to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for a leasing professional who knows how to build relationships, follow up with prospective residents, and confidently close the deal.

What You’ll Do

Conduct engaging and professional apartment tours that showcase the community and help prospects envision themselves living there
Respond promptly to leasing inquiries and follow up with prospective residents throughout the leasing process
Build strong relationships with prospects and residents while providing exceptional customer service
Identify prospect needs and recommend apartment homes that best fit their lifestyle and budget
Prepare and maintain accurate leasing documentation, applications, and related paperwork
Stay current on apartment availability, pricing, specials, and community information
Assist with lease preparation, renewals, move-ins, and other leasing-related activities
Maintain a strong understanding of community amenities, policies, and services
Monitor local market trends and competitor activity
Work collaboratively with the property management team to achieve occupancy and leasing goals
Provide a welcoming, professional experience from the first interaction through move-in day

What We’re Looking For

Previous leasing or property management experience required
1+ year of property management experience required
Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs preferred
Leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident, professional, and personable approach with prospective and current residents
Strong sales ability with a proven ability to follow up and close leases
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Professional phone, email, and in-person communication skills
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
