Carolina Exterminating is hiring a full-time Termite Technician to join our Charleston-area team.
We are a locally owned, family-operated pest control company serving the Charleston Lowcountry since 2008. We're looking for a dependable, hard-working technician to join our termite department and perform termite treatments, inspections, renewals, and related services for our residential and commercial customers.
This is a hands-on field position that requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work independently while following treatment specifications and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform liquid termite treatments on existing structures
- Install, inspect, and service termite baiting systems
- Perform annual termite renewal inspections
- Complete pre-construction termite treatments
- Inspect structures for termite activity, damage, and conducive conditions
- Drill, trench, treat, and perform other application work as required by the treatment plan
- Work in crawlspaces and other confined areas
- Accurately measure and mix products according to label requirements
- Complete detailed service notes, treatment records, diagrams, and required documentation
- Photograph and document findings when required
- Communicate findings and service information professionally with customers
- Maintain termite equipment, treatment rigs, tools, materials, and assigned company vehicle
- Coordinate with the office regarding scheduling, property access, treatment requirements, and job completion
- Follow all product labels, safety requirements, and company procedures
Qualifications
Previous termite or pest-control experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Dependable and punctual
- Detail-oriented and able to follow written treatment specifications
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Able to work in crawlspaces and confined areas
- Able to perform physically demanding work, including crawling, bending, digging, drilling, carrying equipment, and lifting
- Able to maintain accurate paperwork and electronic service records
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
Schedule
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Our regular service schedule is Monday through Friday.
Compensation
Starting pay based on experience, licensing, and qualifications.
Previous termite experience, applicable licensing/registration, and demonstrated ability to independently perform termite treatments may be considered when determining starting compensation.
