MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Hours: 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. – Monday–Friday

Training: Candidate can expect to have 1 month of training on 1st Shift (6:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.) before moving to 2nd shift.

Pay Scale: $28–$30/hour

Bilingual Required (English/Spanish)

Important Requirement: One of the most important requirements for this role is a strong industrial electrical background, particularly experience working with high-voltage equipment and 480-volt, three-phase electrical systems.

Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance/Electrical Technician in the Sheet Metal industry that can work as a team player in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Job Functions

Completes work orders, records and logs written or tablet-based documents according to established procedures on a timely manner.
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment for the production of Industrial Exhaust systems (e.g., pneumatics systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electrical equipment, damaged racks, plumbing, etc.) according to safety and quality procedures.
Ensuring that systems are grounded and installing outlets, lighting fixtures and switches. Preventing measures such as bending conduit and replacing old wiring, installed new drops for future equipment.
Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery and other power equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, order picker and scissor lift).
Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electrical/mechanical schematics).
Installed, services and repair wiring, conduits, fixtures and other electrical devices and systems in an industrial setting.
Troubleshooting skills (Mechanical, Electrical, Control, Networking).
Ability to work well with other associates.
2-4 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and electrical installation.
Strong electrical, mechanical and mathematical skills.
Skills in welding, milling machine, hand and power tools and electrical motors.
Ability to lift 70 lbs.
Dedication to promoting a strong culture of safety.
Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes as required.
Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and criminal background search to ensure all company requirements are met.
