We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the apartment community, ensuring that all units, common areas, grounds, and building systems are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete make-ready units to ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
- Perform a variety of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC systems. HVAC experience is a plus.
- Participate in a rotating 24-hour emergency on-call schedule and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
- Perform routine grounds maintenance, including litter pickup, sweeping, light landscaping, and general community upkeep.
- Maintain and service the community pool when needed. Pool maintenance experience is a plus.
- Coordinate and complete special maintenance projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform snow removal and winter weather maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the apartment community.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous apartment, residential, commercial, or general maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- HVAC knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to participate in the rotating on-call schedule.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical maintenance duties, including snow removal.
Position Details
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience
