Part-Time Daycare Cleaning Employee
Position Type: Part-Time

Location: Sparks/Glencoe Maryland
Schedule: Monday- Friday 6-9pm
Pay: 15.75 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaning Employee to join our commercial cleaning team. The employee will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment at a daycare facility.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows cleaning procedures carefully, and understands the importance of maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Clean and sanitize daycare classrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect children's and adult bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, counters, mirrors, and floors.
- Sweep and mop hard-surface floors.
- Vacuum carpeted areas and remove visible dirt and debris.
- Clean and wipe down interior windows and glass surfaces.
- Clean and polish mirrors and other glass surfaces.
- Dust and wipe down assigned surfaces.
- Clean high-touch areas and frequently used surfaces.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation throughout the assigned facility.
- Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Properly use and care for cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Notify management of any maintenance, safety, or cleaning concerns.
- Maintain a supply inventory list and report cleaning products and supplies that need to be replenished.
- Complete assigned cleaning duties within the scheduled work period.
- Maintain professional conduct while working at the daycare facility.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should:
- Be dependable and punctual.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Be comfortable cleaning bathrooms and handling routine janitorial duties.
- Be able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning supplies and equipment as required.
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect when working around children, daycare staff, and visitors.
- Have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
- Prior commercial or daycare cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
Important Responsibilities
Because this position is located in a daycare facility, maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment is extremely important. Employees are expected to consistently follow established cleaning procedures and immediately report any safety concerns or unusual conditions to management.
