Job description:
Security Officers maintain a professional security presence while supporting customer service, access control, observation, reporting, and general site security operations. Employees are expected to represent NTS Security Services and its core values through professionalism, communication, reliability, and operational readiness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct patrols and monitor assigned property
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or policy violations
- Complete incident reports, activity reports, and daily logs
- Monitor entrances, exits, cameras, alarms, and access control systems
- Provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and staff
- Follow post orders, company policies, and supervisor direction
- Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and attendance
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Minimum 2 years of customer service, hospitality, security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred
- Ability to pass required State of MN background check
- Ability to communicate professionally and complete written reports
- Ability to operate smartphones and company communication systems
- Ability to maintain reliable attendance and schedule adherence
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, or rotating assignments as required
- Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to assigned worksites
