Our client, a leading life sciences and agricultural research provider, is seeking a Greenhouse Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing greenhouse and growth chamber spaces for research use by ensuring all systems, equipment, and work areas are clean, operational, and ready prior to plant material entry.

Core Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Execute greenhouse exit and entry readiness checklist tasks to prepare controlled environments for research use
- Perform deep cleaning, flushing, and sanitation procedures for irrigation systems
- Set up, disconnect, and maintain irrigation carts, rails, hoses, and related equipment
- Inspect and troubleshoot basic irrigation components including emitters, valves, hoses, and leaks
- Clean and maintain greenhouse spaces including floors, drains, benches, carts, and work areas
- Stage and secure equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Verify system readiness and communicate maintenance concerns or issues requiring escalation

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
\n
- \n
- Experience working in a greenhouse, agricultural, facilities, manufacturing, or similar environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and water handling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established SOPs and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Experience performing cleaning, maintenance, or readiness activities in an operational environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and escalate equipment issues

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

- Experience with greenhouse operations or controlled environment agriculture
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, mechanical components, or equipment maintenance

- Experience maintaining growth chambers or specialized environmental systems
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment

Compensation & Benefits

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is $16.45 - $23.50 an hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
