Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Security Installation Technician role based in Indianapolis, IN. You will install, configure, and test security and life safety systems, including CCTV, access control, burglar alarm, fire alarm, and medical emergency equipment. Daily responsibilities include performing electrical maintenance, inspecting wiring and connections, diagnosing issues, and completing troubleshooting and repairs to ensure systems operate safely and reliably. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation, preparing materials and tools for installations, and maintaining accurate records of work performed. You will collaborate with team members, interact with customers in a professional manner, and follow all safety, code, and company standards while working at residential and commercial sites.

Qualifications

Strong electrical maintenance and repair skills, including experience with Electrical Maintenance and Electrical Equipment.
Solid understanding of Electricity principles and basic Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to low-voltage and life safety systems.
Proficient in system diagnosis and problem solving, with demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for security, fire, and alarm systems.
Familiarity with CCTV, access control, burglar alarm, fire alarm, and related low-voltage systems is highly beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and building plans.
Commitment to safety practices and compliance with local electrical codes, industry standards, and company procedures.
Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, accessible language.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Indianapolis, IN.
Relevant technical certification, apprenticeship, or vocational training in electrical or low-voltage systems preferred.
Ability to work on-site, lift and carry equipment as required, and perform tasks that may involve climbing ladders or working in confined spaces.
