Job DescriptionPeopleReady Skilled Trades (PRST) is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Install Technician to support residential multi-family, podium, and commercial projects throughout the San Jose, CA area.
Pay: $40–$50/hour, based on experience
Location: San Jose, CA / South Bay
Schedule: Monday–Friday with on-call availability
Start: ASAP

What You'll Do As a Senior Fire Alarm Install Technician, you'll take a lead role in the installation, service, testing, and inspection of fire alarm systems while helping ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

• Install, service, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems
• Install wiring and fire alarm devices according to project plans and specifications
• Bend and install EMT conduit
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, designs, and system specifications
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, wiring, and device issues
• Perform quarterly and annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspections
• Test and evaluate systems at customer locations
• Maintain accurate documentation of labor, materials, completed work, remaining scope, and as-built plans
• Communicate effectively with superintendents, customers, office staff, and other trades
• Help keep projects on schedule and within scope
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory

• 2+ years of Fire Alarm installation and/or service experience
• Active California Electrical Trainee (ET) registration
• Strong electrical wiring and construction knowledge
• California Life Safety Technician Card (Blue Card) or NICET Level II preferred
• Experience installing and bending EMT conduit
• Ability to read electrical and fire alarm plans and specifications
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Valid driver's license with a good DMV record
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot in the field
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and use ladders throughout the workday
• Must pass required pre-employment screening
