As an Unarmed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community. Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team is entrusted with delivering an exceptional experience for our clients while safeguarding their interests. It is essential to uphold the company’s professional image at all times—whether interacting with clients, the public, or law enforcement. As a member of our team, you are expected to embody and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct in all aspects of your work. This position would start on August 1, 2025. All training and licensing must be completed before this start date. Your schedule would be 7:00 am-5:30 pm 4 days per week between Monday and Friday for a total of 40 hours per week, including a 30 minute unpaid meal break per shift. All security officers working in the city of Greeley must obtain a Greeley Security Guard License immediately upon hire. Critical Roles of the Position: Interacting with Clients, Patrons, Guests, Partners, Coworkers, and the Public: Serve as a professional and approachable point of contact, offering assistance and information to clients, patrons, and visitors. Having the ability to interact respectfully and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds is critical. Officers must maintain a courteous and impartial demeanor when engaging with members of the public, client teams, and other stakeholders, regardless of the situation. Build positive relationships through clear communication and friendly interactions while maintaining a strong security presence. Work collaboratively with partners and coworkers to ensure a cohesive and secure environment for all. Communication and De-Escalation: The security officer must possess strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with the public, client staff, and other professionals. This includes the ability to provide clear instructions, answer questions courteously, and de-escalate situations when necessary. Additionally, they must be able to recognize and address potential conflicts or tense situations before they escalate, using effective communication and conflict-resolution skills. Maintain a calm demeanor under pressure, diffusing disruptive behavior in a respectful and non-confrontational manner. Document and report incidents involving de-escalation to ensure transparency and accountability. Technology Savvy/Report Writing: Utilize security systems, surveillance equipment, and communication devices efficiently to monitor activities and ensure site safety. Maintain accurate and detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, using digital tools and software as required. Stay updated on security technology and reporting protocols to adapt to site-specific needs. Professionalism and Grooming Standards: Uphold a high standard of professional behavior at all times, reflecting positively on the security team and organization. Treat all individuals with respect and dignity, regardless of the situation or context. Officers must comply with the client's grooming standards to maintain a professional appearance that reflects the department’s values and expectations. Secure Site to Prevent Vandalism and Theft: Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of assigned areas to deter vandalism, theft, and unauthorized access. Identify and address security vulnerabilities, ensuring that all points of entry and sensitive areas are properly secured. Respond swiftly to alarms, suspicious activities, or breaches to maintain a secure environment. Ability to Work Alone and in a Team Setting: Perform security duties independently, demonstrating reliability and self-motivation in maintaining safety standards. Make sound decisions when faced with unexpected situations, relying on training and experience to handle challenges effectively. Remain vigilant and alert throughout shifts, even in isolated or low-traffic areas. Conversely, security officers must have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a security team. Officers must coordinate seamlessly with colleagues, client personnel, and law enforcement to maintain a safe and secure environment. Keen Attention to Detail in Security Procedures: Officers are responsible for performing thorough searches and wanding procedures to detect prohibited items. This requires a high level of attention to detail to ensure compliance with security protocols and the safety of all occupants. Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly and efficiently in response to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches. Follow established emergency protocols to ensure the safety of individuals and property. Assist with crowd control and evacuation procedures, providing guidance and support during critical situations. Contact Law Enforcement as Necessary: Determine when situations require the involvement of law enforcement and promptly initiate contact. Provide accurate and concise information to responding officers to facilitate a coordinated response. Maintain a cooperative relationship with law enforcement to ensure smooth collaboration during incidents. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at Assigned Site: Adhere to the specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) outlined for each site, ensuring compliance with all security policies. Stay informed about updates or changes to SOPs and implement them effectively in daily operations. Adapt to site-specific protocols while maintaining consistency in delivering high-quality security services. Maintaining Confidentiality of All Activities Within Your Site: Officers must uphold strict confidentiality regarding site proceedings and safeguard sensitive information and activities observed or reported within the site. Exercise discretion in handling confidential data and interactions, protecting the privacy of clients, guests, and coworkers. Ensure that all reports and documentation adhere to confidentiality protocols and are only shared with authorized personnel. Signing and adhering to Precision Security Team (PST) confidentiality agreements is mandatory to protect the integrity of client operations. Physical Endurance: Candidates must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, as the role requires maintaining a visible and active presence throughout the site to ensure security and safety. Preferred Background in Law Enforcement or Military: While not required, prior experience in law enforcement or the military is highly preferred, as it provides valuable skills and training relevant to the position.
