TRC Talent is looking for a Jr. Maintenance Technician for our client in Piedmont, SC
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Junior Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support production by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting production lines and auxiliary equipment. You will work closely with Production, Logistics, and Quality teams to minimize downtime while maintaining a safe work environment. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your technical skills under the guidance of a Maintenance Lead.
Job Details: Monday-Friday Training on 1st(8AM-4PM) then move to eventual 2nd shift(2PM-10PM) $25/hr+ based on experience Temp to Hire Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) on production lines and auxiliary equipment.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair machinery quickly and safely during unexpected breakdowns.
Facilities Support: Complete small facility and building maintenance tasks as needed.
Inventory Control: Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and proactively flag low stock to prevent shortages.
Safety & Inspection: Report any potential equipment malfunctions early and prioritize a zero-harm safety culture.
Team Collaboration: Work in partnership with Production, Logistics, and Quality departments to optimize operations.
Project Support: Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Qualifications & Skills
Core Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to accurately read technical schematics.
Preferred Background: Practical experience or exposure to plumbing, electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting is highly appreciated.
Adaptability: Must be flexible to work overtime and transition from day shift to second shift as production demands change.
Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, proactive mindset, and a strong collaborator.
