The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and facility systems.
- Location: Snohomish, WA
- Pay: $28/hr
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM (occasionally 6:00 AM–3:00 PM)
- Overtime: Occasional Saturdays, 4–5 hours
- Assignment Duration: 3-6 months
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance — Performs routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and building systems
- Repair assistance — Assists in repairing woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts following manuals and manufacturer specifications
- Orders necessary supplies and replacement parts
- Completes preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled
- Maintains accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
- Performs duties in alignment with established safety rules and procedures
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participates in safety meetings, continuous improvement programs, and other required sessions
- If assigned to the Treating Department, follows hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures
- Prepares required reports and documentation
- Performs other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1+ year machine repair experience in a maintenance environment
- Technical knowledge — Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, control technology, and welding.
