Job DescriptionApartment Groundskeeper / Porter
Hire Priority Staffing is hiring a Groundskeeper / Porter for a multifamily apartment community in South Austin. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, hard-working team member who takes pride in maintaining the overall appearance of a property and creating a clean, welcoming environment for residents and guests.We are looking for someone who enjoys outdoor work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of curb appeal in an apartment community.
Job Details:
- Pay: Starting at $18/hr DOE
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp, Temp-to-Hire
- Location: Austin, TX 78704
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the grounds, breezeways, parking areas, and common areas
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property
- Assist with the exterior upkeep of buildings and community grounds
- Help preserve curb appeal through detailed and consistent groundskeeping and porter duties
- Remove trash, debris, and pet waste from common areas as needed
- Assist with general property cleanup and outdoor upkeep
- Support common area cleanliness and overall community appearance
- Work with the maintenance team and property manager to prioritize daily responsibilities
- Support additional porter and grounds duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous groundskeeper, porter, janitorial, landscaping, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred
- Multifamily apartment industry experience is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Pool maintenance experience is a plus
- CPO certification is helpful
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail required
- Must be able to provide valid identification, proof of authorization to work in the United States, and complete the application and interview process
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
