We’re seeking a confident, relational, and organized center leader to join our team of Directors across four locations. As Site Director, you'll be the heartbeat of your center—coaching staff, leading high-quality programming, building trusting relationships with families, and owning key operational goals. You won’t do it alone—you’ll play team with our network of Directors, meeting regularly to collaborate, challenge each other, and stay aligned as we raise the standard for what great childcare looks like.

What You’ll Lead:
????? Staff Coaching & Development
Serve as the day-to-day leader and coach for your center’s teaching team
Lead weekly check-ins and classroom walk-throughs to reinforce expectations
Create professional development plans and nurture leadership potential in others
Uphold and model A Step Ahead’s standards for communication, discipline, and care
?? Program Quality & Classroom Excellence
Ensure every classroom is developmentally appropriate, engaging, and clean
Guide teachers in lesson planning, student observation, and documentation
Model positive behavior guidance and emotionally responsive care
Regularly review curriculum delivery and classroom environments
?? Parent Communication & Tour Success
Serve as the primary point of contact for all parent needs and feedback
Host tours for prospective families, showcasing both warmth and excellence
Communicate clearly and confidently with families, even in difficult situations
Foster a welcoming atmosphere that builds long-term trust with parents
?? Operational Accountability
Track and manage staffing levels, ratios, and classroom coverage
Lead center utilization efforts through strong retention and tour-to-enrollment conversions
Own accountability to your staffing budget, partnering with your AD and central team
Monitor and meet licensing, safety, and documentation compliance

Who You Are:
A proven early childhood leader who understands both people and process
Passionate about child development, but also energized by operations
A calm and steady communicator who can balance empathy with accountability
Detail-oriented, driven by goals, and unafraid to make decisions
Collaborative, humble, and excited to learn from other leaders

Qualifications:
3+ years of leadership in a licensed early childhood setting (required)
Degree in Early Childhood, Education, or related field (preferred)
Must meet Nebraska director qualifications and licensing standards
Strong understanding of classroom ratios, curriculum planning, and child behavior management
Confident with basic operational tools: scheduling, rosters, budgets, and communication platforms
