Legion Corporation is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee security operations within a Business Improvement District (BID). This position is responsible for leading security personnel, maintaining strong relationships with businesses and community stakeholders, and ensuring a professional, effective public-safety presence throughout the district.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead, supervise, and support the security team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
● Oversee foot and vehicle patrols and ensure proper coverage throughout the district.
● Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, and calls for service.
● Review incident reports, Daily Activity Reports (DARs), and calls for service for accuracy, quality, and timely response.
● Maintain strong relationships with businesses, property owners, The Alliance, community members, and law enforcement.
● Attend safety, retail theft, and stakeholder meetings as required.
● Conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies to prevent crime and improve public safety.
● Ensure compliance with Legion, BID, local, and regulatory policies.
● Oversee security equipment, technology, and operational systems.
● Prepare monthly security reports and present operational updates to stakeholders.
● Assist with security planning and crowd management for special events.
● Monitor crime trends and maintain accurate intelligence and district watch lists.
● Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements.
Qualifications:
● Previous security management or supervisory experience required.
● Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
● Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong report-writing and organizational skills.
● Professional demeanor and ability to build positive relationships with businesses and the community.
● Knowledge of security operations, de-escalation, and public-safety practices.
● California security experience and required licensing preferred.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
Hours and days may change based on district needs and with approval from The Alliance.
