Security Systems Installer
Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Low Voltage AV - Access Control / Security Installation Technician. In this position you will install, service, and maintain audio/visual and electronic security systems including access control, CCTV, and related technologies. This is a hands-on technical role working in residential and/or commercial environments. Minimum 2 years of experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
\n
· Responsible for the installation, set-up, and maintenance of security systems and related equipment including:
\n
- \n
- Audio/Visual systems (TVs, speakers, control systems)
- Access control systems (card readers, keypads, mag locks, strikes)
- CCTV and surveillance systems
- Structured cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, etc.)
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
· Ability to follow blueprints of electrical system layouts
\n
· Responds to a variety of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and after-hours calls to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of system issues
\n
· Handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls
\n
· Assist or perform system programming, thorough test of the alarm system, and customer training in the use of all system functions
\n
· Run all types of wire and cable through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets and position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping
\n
· Test and repair circuits and sensors
\n
· Installation and configuration of hard wired and wireless networks and all associate components (Networking/IT)
\n
· Ensure installations meet company standards, codes, and client expectations
\n
· Coordinate with project managers, builders, and other trades on jobsites
\n
· Preserve customer and client confidentiality
\n
\n
REQUIREMENTS:
\n
· Minimum 2 year experiences in one or more of the following areas: Electronic Security, Alarm, Video and Access Control
\n
· Demonstrate strong communication skills including verbal and written
\n
· Knowledge in structured cabling and other advanced cabling technologies
\n
· Interact with both internal and external customers in a professional, customer service-oriented manor
\n
· Work under pressure and meet deadlines through strong time management skills
\n
· Maintain a professional appearance
\n
· Communicate intelligently with Project Managers and co-workers
\n
· Process necessary paperwork and take notes as required in a detailed oriented manor
\n
· Be committed to quality and exceeding customer expectations making security a top priority
\n
· Ability to work both independently and in a team atmosphere
\n
· Physically be able to meet requirements of the job which include carrying items of at least 50+ pounds unassisted, standing on feet for up to 8 hrs. a day, bending down frequently, comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in construction environments
\n
· Flexibility to work outside of regularly scheduled hours - on call rotation is required in this position.
\n
· Willingness to travel as required (approximately 4-6 times a year)
\n
· Possess an Associate’s degree in a related field or have equivalent industry work experience (additional certifications will be taken into consideration)

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS AND BENEFITS

· Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:30AM – 4:30PM on average
\n
· Compensation commensurate with experience
