Masis Professional Group has partnered with a local food manufacturing company and is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Lawrence, MA.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of the facility’s mechanical and electrical equipment. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on production machinery and facility systems within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on food manufacturing equipment, including packaging, processing, and filling systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain facility systems, including industrial refrigeration, compressed air systems, pumps, and heat exchangers.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of machinery, equipment repairs, and service-cycle activities.
- Identify and report equipment defects, damage, and malfunctions.
- Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Follow company policies and OSHA safety requirements at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training to expand technical knowledge and skills.
- Support company goals, policies, and operational standards.
- Perform additional maintenance duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
\n

- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision tools, and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- PLC troubleshooting/logic knowledge is a plus.
- Welding, presses, grinders, basic fabrication, and plumbing experience are preferred.
- Food manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Strong organizational, analytical, listening, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn and expand technical knowledge into new areas.
- Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation as needed.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the facility's HACCP plan.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, reach, stand, walk, and perform other physical activities associated with maintenance work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
