Position Summary
PSA Security, LLC is seeking a dependable and experienced Overnight Operations Supervisor / Scheduling Coordinator to oversee overnight security operations. This position is responsible for supervising security personnel, maintaining staffing coverage, coordinating schedules, conducting quality control inspections, responding to emergencies, and ensuring client locations are operating according to company and contractual standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise overnight security personnel and field operations.
- Maintain staffing coverage and quickly fill call-offs and open shifts.
- Create, update, and verify employee schedules using Deputy.
- Conduct approximately 3–6 random quality control inspections per shift.
- Inspect officers for uniform compliance, professionalism, alertness, post-order compliance, and completion of assigned duties.
- Monitor attendance, reliability, shift turnover, and employee performance.
- Coach employees and document performance or policy concerns when necessary.
- Respond to overnight operational issues and emergencies.
- Maintain communication with security officers, dispatch, clients, and management.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, EMS, or fire departments when necessary.
- Address approved client concerns and report recurring issues to management.
- Complete daily operational reports, shift summaries, incident documentation, and assigned administrative tasks.
- Minimize overtime whenever possible while maintaining adequate coverage.
- Travel between client locations throughout the overnight shift.
Performance Expectations
The Overnight Operations Supervisor is expected to remain actively engaged throughout the shift, maintain professional communication, respond promptly to emergencies and staffing issues, identify problems before they become client concerns, and demonstrate strong leadership, accountability, and judgment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License or Willingness to Obtain
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous security experience
- Previous supervisory or scheduling experience
- Experience with Deputy, Microsoft Office, or similar software
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong communication, scheduling, and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to travel between client locations during the shift
Pay Range
$18-20
