Maintenance Technician (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay: $24.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This temp-to-hire position is responsible for maintaining apartment communities through routine maintenance, apartment turnovers, and grounds upkeep. The ideal candidate will have experience with basic maintenance repairs, be dependable, and be available for an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform apartment turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
• Complete light plumbing repairs, such as fixture replacements.
• Perform basic carpentry and very minor electrical repairs.
• Maintain the property grounds and common areas, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns.
• Report larger maintenance issues and repair needs to property management.
• Respond to on-call maintenance requests and weather-related needs, including snow removal.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required.
• Experience with light plumbing and painting is required.
• Basic carpentry and minor electrical repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation of one week every three weeks.
• Must be available for snow removal as needed, including outside of regular business hours.
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical work in various weather conditions.
