Job DescriptionMaintenance Technician (2 rotating locations near by)
Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:00am - 4:30pm) Payrate: $25 per hour Job Location: Honolulu area (position also available in Ewa Beach)
Job Description: Perform a wide variety of maintenance duties related to company properties. Assist and work under the direct supervision of the Resident Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, performing necessary repairs and preventive maintenance to rental units.
Responsibilities:
- Replace locks and keys (re-key if necessary)
- Check weather stripping, ensure security and functioning of doors and windows
- Repair / replace carpet and floor tile
- Perform all repairs related to interior walls and doors
- Replace bad lights, plugs, switches etc.
- Plumbing: hot water heater, drain lines, supply lines, faucets, commode, tub, shower, repairs when necessary
- Test / replace smoke alarms
- Check appliance operation
- Change A/C filters, check coils, clean when necessary
- Caulks counter tops, sinks, bathtubs, etc. as needed.
- Maintain a written status and make ready check list
- Perform written resident work orders assigned by supervisor within 24 hours
- Perform annual unit inspections.
- Ensure turnover of units (make-ready) within 5 days
- Painting
- Maintain tools and equipment in good and safe working order
Qualifications:
- 2+ Year of Related Apartment Maintenance Experience
- Knowledge and Skills in Plumbing, Electrical, and General Maintenance
- Valid DL, Clean DMV, and Reliable Transportation
- Incorporate both safety and customer service in performance of job duties
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Actively participate in Injury and Illness Prevention Plan: follow correct procedures for lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials, and wearing Personal Protective Equipment when necessary
