Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain required project documentation, including a detailed ‘as-built’ construction unit tabulation; assisting the Contractor with construction unit reconciliation, monthly invoice summaries.
- Preparation of "as-built" records drawings.
- Daily coordination, support and escalation, as necessary, with the Contractor, Project Owner and Engineering staff to resolve daily challenges and implement Project changes in scope.
- Daily coordination with representatives of Right of Way authorities, as well as grantors of private easements
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Valid driver’s License;
- Experience: Three (3) or more years of field management experience in outside plant (OSP) construction. Telecommunications project experience utilizing RUS standards is preferred.
- Fundamental knowledge of the following, included reading and interpreting design plans, drawings and Right of Way permitting information.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with internal and/or external Clients and provide explanations and/or information on technical issues. Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
- Computer Skills: Utilize Windows based programs to fulfill job requirements, included but not limited to the following:
- Microsoft Outlook: Utilize Outlook for regular communications, contacts, project documentation.
- Microsoft Excel: Utilize Excel reporting forms as required; and the ability to generate pivot table unit summaries from Excel.
- Microsoft Word: Utilize Word for regular project reporting.
- Work Conditions: Outdoors and field office environment.
