The role leads a second-shift maintenance team (M-F 4:00 PM – 1:30 AM) overseeing complex food equipment—including standalone spiral freezers, Handtmann/Vemag portioners, packaging lines, and industrial robotics—while driving CMMS integration, LOTO compliance, and equipment reliability. • Work closely with Operations/Production and Engineering to help achieve production targets without compromising safety, food quality, or reliability.
\n
• Execute and support the preventive maintenance program in collaboration with the Director of Engineering & Maintenance.
\n
• Track, report on, and help improve maintenance KPIs, including MTBF, MTTR, and Equipment Reliability (ER), in collaboration with the Director of Engineering & Maintenance.
\n
• Promote and participate in a culture focused on effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) execution.
\n
• Oversee the safe maintenance, repair, replacement, installation, and startup of production equipment.
\n
• Coordinate and oversee external contracting work for installations, repairs, and maintenance.
\n
• Maintain and strengthen OEM and vendor relationships for critical spare parts, repairs, and service of equipment.
\n
• Support the spare parts inventory program, including establishing and maintaining min/max levels for critical components.
\n
• Available to respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, equipment failures, facility-related incidents, and major breakdowns.
\n
• Available to attend to work on requested weekends, based on the needs of the organization.
\n
• Support the full integration and daily use of the CMMS system, ensuring accurate work order documentation and improving the maintenance team’s user experience.
\n
• Conduct daily follow-ups with the maintenance team after plant huddles. Facilitate repairs as well as scheduled preventive maintenance work.
\n
• Improve coordination between shifts by participating in daily meetings to ensure smooth shift-to-shift transitions.
\n
• Generate and distribute end-of-shift reports daily upon completion of the shift.
\n
• Support the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of maintenance technicians.
\n
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety (GMP), sanitation, and applicable regulatory requirements, including the safe use of food-grade materials and lubricants.

• Enforce safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
