Job Title: Custodial Worker
Job Description
This role supports a highly technical, RF-focused facility by maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across offices, production areas, machine shops, cafeterias, restrooms, and clean rooms. You will perform a full range of custodial and janitorial duties to ensure the facility remains sanitary, presentable, and compliant with cleanliness standards on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Sweep and dust mop cement or tile floors on a daily basis to keep walkways and work areas clean and safe.
- Vacuum carpeted areas as required to maintain a neat and professional appearance throughout the facility.
- Damp mop cement or tile floors as needed, including cafeteria areas on a daily basis, to maintain sanitary conditions.
- Collect, pick up, and empty trash from all areas of the facility on a daily basis, including disposing of machine cuttings from machine shops.
- Clean restrooms on a daily basis, including porcelain fixtures, walls, and mirrors, to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Refill paper towel, toilet paper, seat cover dispensers, and soap dispensers as needed to ensure restrooms remain fully stocked.
- Clean ledges, windowsills, counters, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces as needed to remove dust and debris.
- Apply special cleaning procedures in clean room areas, including vacuuming the complete area, mopping with a nylon mop, and thoroughly dusting all surfaces on a weekly basis.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and instructions to ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Use appropriate cleaning tools, supplies, and methods to protect sensitive equipment and specialized environments.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience.
- Experience performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Ability to carry out janitorial duties in a variety of areas, including offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and industrial or machine shop spaces.
- Comfort working with trash removal, including handling and disposing of machine cuttings from shop areas.
- Ability to follow specific cleaning procedures for specialized environments, such as clean rooms.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Reliability and consistency in completing daily and weekly cleaning routines.
- Ability to work a first-shift schedule, typically 7:00 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.

Work Environment
The facility is very clean, well-organized, and climate-controlled, providing a comfortable and orderly workplace. You will work primarily on a first shift schedule from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed based on operational requirements. The environment includes a mix of offices, cafeterias, restrooms, machine shops, and specialized clean rooms, requiring careful adherence to cleaning procedures tailored to each area. You will regularly use standard custodial tools and supplies, such as brooms, dust mops, vacuums, damp mops, and cleaning agents, and you will follow specific protocols in sensitive areas like clean rooms to protect equipment and maintain strict cleanliness standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
