Casselman Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Meyersdale, PA is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Director to join our team!

WORKING MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR ROLE

This is a hands-on, working manager position for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day maintenance of a healthcare facility. The Maintenance Director will lead facility maintenance while also personally completing work orders, repairs, preventive maintenance, room turnovers and other hands-on maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

· Personally complete daily maintenance tasks, including work orders, room turnovers and preventive maintenance

· Oversee and maintain facility systems, equipment and building operations

· Perform hands-on repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general building maintenance

· Ensure all facility systems and equipment are properly maintained and repaired

· Coordinate and assist with maintenance projects

· Conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues proactively

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies

· Participate in weekend on-call responsibilities

· Collaborate with other departments to support smooth daily operations

· Maintain accurate maintenance and life safety records

· Help ensure the facility remains a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

· Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting

· Strong knowledge of building systems, including high- and low-voltage systems

· Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC and equipment repair

· Strong organizational, problem-solving and leadership skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Willingness and ability to perform hands-on maintenance work
