Electronic Security Integration Project Manager
Job Description
Job Description Shape the Delivery of Modern Security Systems Across Atlanta
KMT Systems, Inc. is a family-owned provider of security and low‑voltage technology serving the Atlanta metro area since 2005. From our McDonough and Marietta offices, we deliver solutions spanning intrusion detection, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, and access control for residential and commercial clients.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring an experienced Project Manager to guide commercial security and low‑voltage projects from planning to final closeout. You’ll work across customer sites throughout metro Atlanta and collaborate closely with both KMT locations based on project needs. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented, technically savvy leader who thrives on accountability and takes full ownership of outcomes.
A Day in the Life
- Kick off your morning reviewing project schedules, manpower, and material deliveries, then align field teams and subcontractors.
- Validate scopes, drawings, equipment lists, and labor estimates before mobilization; confirm milestones and completion targets.
- Visit active sites to check quality, verify progress, and assess conditions—flag risks early and resolve field issues swiftly.
- Track labor hours, materials, and costs in real time to keep work on schedule and within budget.
- Document scope adjustments and secure approvals for change orders.
- Prepare for handover with punch list completion, end‑user training, and thorough system documentation.
What You’ll Own
- Full lifecycle delivery of commercial access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion alarm, and structured cabling projects—from sales handoff through closeout.
- Preconstruction review: scopes of work, plans, specifications, equipment lists, labor estimates, and customer requirements.
- Schedule development and management, manpower planning, material coordination, and milestone tracking.
- Cross‑functional coordination with customers, general contractors, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
- Budget stewardship: monitor labor, materials, and job performance to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Risk management and proactive issue resolution; clear communication of schedule or scope concerns before they escalate.
- Closeout management: punch lists, customer training, system documentation, and turnover.
What You Bring
- Hands‑on background in commercial electronic security or low‑voltage systems—ideally with access control and video surveillance/CCTV.
- Proven experience leading commercial projects (schedules, labor, materials, budgets, and change orders).
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, floor plans, scopes of work, and specifications.
- Exceptional organization, communication, problem‑solving, and follow‑through; confidence coordinating field teams, customers, GCs, and stakeholders.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay aligned with experience.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k), and more.
- Training and certification support.
- Flexibility between office locations.
- Clear paths to grow your career.
- A supportive, family‑owned culture committed to excellence.
