Job Title: Service Technician – Modular Buildings and Mobile Office Trailers
Job Description
This hands-on Service Technician role focuses on inspecting, repairing, and maintaining modular buildings and mobile office trailers to ensure they are safe, functional, and ready for customer use. You will perform a variety of trade tasks, including carpentry, light electrical work, plumbing, flooring, painting, HVAC maintenance, and general building repairs, while delivering high-quality workmanship and professional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect modular buildings and mobile office trailers to identify repair needs and ensure they are safe and ready for delivery and customer use.
- Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring, HVAC maintenance, and general building repairs on modular units.
- Conduct detailed move-in and move-out inspections to assess condition and determine necessary service or refurbishment.
- Complete customer-requested modifications and customizations to modular buildings according to specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot issues related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building systems, and perform timely, effective repairs.
- Install, adjust, and repair components and fixtures within modular units, ensuring proper operation and appearance.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working order, and help monitor inventory levels for service and repair materials.
- Ensure all units are delivery-ready by meeting established quality, safety, and appearance standards before they leave the yard.
- Accurately complete service documentation, work orders, and related records using basic computer systems and software.
- Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone, clearly explaining work performed and addressing customer concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following safety procedures and best practices at all times.
- Safely operate company vehicles to travel to job sites as needed, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moody, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
