Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities. The position is located with our client in South Glens Falls. The pay rate will be based on experience a, between $23-$24 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.
Assign tasks and monitor work progress to ensure timely and quality completion.
Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for machinery, equipment, and building systems.
Maintain records of work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities using CMMS or manual logs.
Train team members on safety practices, equipment use, and maintenance procedures.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and local codes.
Coordinate with other departments (production, engineering, etc.) to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Order and manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
Assist in budgeting and cost control related to maintenance operations.
Conduct inspections to identify issues and recommend improvements or upgrades.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
3–5 years of maintenance experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.
Solid understanding of workplace safety and OSHA standards.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Flexibility to respond to emergencies or work off-hours when needed.
