Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Armed Security Officer in VA, focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas, conducting foot or vehicle patrols, and controlling access to facilities in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. The Armed Security Officer will respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, document observations and occurrences, and prepare clear, accurate incident reports. The role involves coordinating with local law enforcement when necessary, enforcing site rules, and providing a visible security presence to deter unlawful activity. The officer is expected to maintain their Virginia armed security officer license/registration, adhere to all use-of-force guidelines, and participate in regular training and briefings to ensure readiness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Virginia armed security officer license/registration, meeting all state regulatory requirements.

• Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related protective services preferred.

• Strong situational awareness, decision-making, and conflict de-escalation abilities.

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.

\n

• Clear, professional communication skills, including report writing and incident documentation.

\n

• Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and adherence to safety protocols and company policies.

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or safety training is an advantage.
