Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to support the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of multiple company buildings. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning and light facility-maintenance duties to ensure all assigned areas remain clean, organized, sanitary, and properly stocked.
The ideal candidate has previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience, takes pride in maintaining a professional work environment, and can complete assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning and maintain assigned buildings in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors throughout offices, manufacturing areas, hallways, and common spaces.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Clean spills promptly using the appropriate cleaning products and equipment.
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, doors, and other surfaces as assigned.
- Monitor cleaning and restroom supplies and notify management when additional supplies are needed.
- Ensure designated doors and access points are properly secured after business hours.
- Report building damage, safety concerns, equipment issues, or major repair needs to a supervisor or manager.
- Travel between assigned company buildings as needed.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks accurately and within established timeframes.
- Follow all company safety procedures and proper handling instructions for cleaning products and equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and proper sanitation practices preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working throughout company facilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to safely use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to move between multiple company buildings during the workday.
Hourly Pay Range: $19.00-$20hr
Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
