Gatsby Real Estate is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of 350+ residential units and 50+ properties throughout Los Angeles.

This is a hands-on role that combines office-based property management responsibilities with regular field visits to properties throughout Los Angeles. The ideal candidate has prior residential property management experience and is comfortable independently handling tenant communications, move-ins, move-outs, maintenance coordination, rent collection follow-up, vendor management, administrative tasks, and on-site property visits.

This position requires strong organization, excellent follow-through, and the ability to confidently manage tenant and vendor relationships in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role involves significant office-based work, including responding to tenant inquiries, coordinating maintenance requests, processing applications, tracking outstanding items, maintaining records, and managing daily operational responsibilities. Candidates should also be comfortable visiting properties throughout Los Angeles and professionally addressing a wide range of tenant situations while maintaining company standards and policies.

Successful candidates are proactive, dependable, organized, and able to take ownership of property operations without constant supervision. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys solving problems, interacting with tenants and vendors, and managing multiple priorities across a large portfolio.

About Gatsby Real Estate

Gatsby Real Estate is the property management arm of Gatsby Investment, a Beverly Hills-based real estate investment and development company.

Our team manages residential properties throughout Los Angeles, including traditional multifamily communities and shared-living housing. We lease approximately 10+ units per month and continue to expand our portfolio through ongoing acquisitions and development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Process rental applications and conduct tenant screenings

• Coordinate and conduct move-ins and move-outs

• Collect required move-in documentation and ensure compliance with lease requirements

• Assist with rent collection and tenant account follow-up

• Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant phone calls, emails, questions, and service requests

• Coordinate maintenance requests and schedule vendors

• Follow up on work orders until completion

• Follow up with tenants and vendors to ensure maintenance issues are fully resolved

• Conduct property visits and inspections as needed

• Work directly with vendors, contractors, and service providers

• Resolve tenant concerns while enforcing company policies and lease requirements

• Maintain accurate records, notes, and updates within company systems

• Track outstanding items and ensure timely follow-up

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on residential property management experience

• Experience with tenant screenings, move-ins, move-outs, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and tenant relations

• Experience managing multiple properties or large residential portfolios

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

• Strong conflict-resolution and customer-service skills

• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through

• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and make sound decisions in the field

• Comfortable interacting with tenants, vendors, contractors, and residents in a variety of property environments

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

• Proficient with property management software, email, and online systems

Compensation

$30–$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location

Beverly Hills office with regular travel to properties throughout Los Angeles.
