Crucial Link is recruiting an Industrial Maintenance Technician / Assistant Production Supervisor in Cleveland, Ohio 44109
This is a Direct Hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired directly by the company and receive full benefits.
This role combines industrial maintenance responsibilities with production leadership support. The technician will maintain production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and help support production operations to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
The ideal candidate is a strong mechanical troubleshooter who enjoys solving problems and keeping production equipment running efficiently.
Pay & Schedule$28–$32 per hour (depending on experience, skills, and abilities)
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday
Hours: 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM
Overtime available when required
What You’ll Do
- Perform corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime
- Perform mechanical repairs to existing production equipment
- Maintain production lines in optimal operating condition
- Replace and inspect components including belts, pumps, motors, hoses, seals, and fittings
- Rebuild mechanical components including pistons, seals, and fittings
- Read and interpret technical manuals and equipment documentation
- Support production operations by resolving mechanical issues quickly
- Participate in team discussions regarding facility and production improvements
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with documented safety standards
Assistant Production Leadership Responsibilities
- Assist production leadership during the shift when needed - this is primarily a maintenance position.
- Help monitor production operations to ensure equipment reliability
- Support production teams when equipment issues impact production flow
- Communicate maintenance updates and equipment concerns to leadership
- Work collaboratively with production teams to achieve daily production goals

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of industrial mechanic or industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with production and facility equipment
Preferred Additional Skills
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Mechanical rebuilding experience
- Knowledge of production line equipment and integrated systems
- Experience supporting production operations
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment
