Role Description The Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in McPherson, KS. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting production and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, replacing or repairing parts, and monitoring equipment performance. The Maintenance Technician collaborates with production teams to minimize downtime, documents maintenance activities, and follows safety and compliance standards. The role may also assist in equipment installation, improvement projects, and continuous process optimization.

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electric molding machines, robots, and secondary equipment

  • Work independently while collaborating with Engineering and Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing processes

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance, with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • \n

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and plant machinery
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience with Preventive Maintenance programs and scheduling.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated ability in Maintenance & Repair of production machinery and facility systems.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding equipment or related industrial machinery is preferred.
  • \n

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • \n

  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is a plus.
  • \n

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • \n

  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, occasional overtime, and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
  • \n

  • Experience with robotics and programmable controls, including troubleshooting and program modifications
  • \n

  • Experience with EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling) design and fabrication is a plus.
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and move up to 40 pounds
  • \n

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and sit for extended periods throughout the shift

  • Comfortable ascending and descending ladders, forklifts, scissor lifts, and trailers
  • \n

  • Ability to work at heights and safely operate powered industrial equipment
