Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls, and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
· Insure quality of facility meets or exceeds all set standards.
· Scheduling of team members according to need i.e. snow storm forecasts.
· Responsible for repairing and maintaining physical structure of establishment.
· Responsible for maintaining the physical properties i.e. Casino property, Legacy Landing, Tribal trailers, Camas and Transitional housing.
· Responsible for maintaining lawn, landscaped areas, sprinkler systems and weed control.
· Responsible for trash and litter control.
· Responsible for maintaining all snow removal of parking lots, sidewalks and parking garage
· Responsible for sweeping and maintaining the integrity of the parking lot surfaces. I.E. crack sealing, sealing of the asphalt, striping and trash.
· Work with Architects during construction of new facilities landscape to insure quality of product being spec. and to make sure the plants are of quality.
· Assist in helping maintain a clean roof on all buildings along with rain gutter etc.
· Assist in moving materials as needed.
· Assist in rodent control with outside venders.
· Work with the tribal Department of natural resources on plant types.
· Clean up construction debris and assist in disposing of worn or unusable items.
· Deliver and pick up parts, equipment and supplies from storage and vendors.
· Operate snow removal equipment i.e. truck mounted snow plow, deicing equipment, ATV with plow, snow blowers, gaiter
· Operate lawn mowers, weed trimmer, hedge trimmer, lawn edger
· Landscaping repairs and new installation. (Including planting of perennial flowers)
· Automatic lawn sprinkler repairs and installation.
· Ability to troubleshoot and fix problems with foliage and lawn areas when they arise.
· Operation and maintenance of heavy equipment, forklifts, back hoe, & bob cats.
· Welding and fabrication of parts and materials.
· Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.
· Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record.
· May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees 4-6 team members, directing and supervising day to day operations while reporting to the construction manager.
Education
· Two year certificate from college or technical school.
Experience
· Five years experience in the following: landscape design, maintaining landscaping, fertilization, weed control.
· One year experience in Maintenance related work.
Skills
· Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software (Maintenance PM System).
· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with public department heads, associates and the public
· Knowledge of plants that are conducive to growing in this area and climate.
· Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.
Other Requirements
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
· Washington or Idaho State Driver’s License (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle).
· Certification is required to operate a forklift.
· Applicators license is a plus.
· Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Physical Demands
· Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

· Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
· Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
· Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
· Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
