Health Services Consultants is expanding our team to provide maintenance and painting services at our residential homes for adults with disabilities located throughout central Illinois. This dynamic full-time position offers variety in daily duties and skill development while working at different sites to serve our clients.Duties include:Ability to climb ladders, work at heights and stand for long periods of timeCalculate supply needs, color matching and problem-solvingMaintain a safe environment, clean tools, meet safety protocols and protect surfaces to prevent damagePerform all aspects of painting and finishing (surface preparation, patching, using variety of tools and materials)Perform preventive and routine maintenance, general carpentry and plumbing (drywall, leaks)Repair, install household electrical appliances (switches, breakers, fuses)Diagnose and repair mechanical issues (heating/cooling)Required:1 year of maintenance related experience, with primary emphasis on residential paintingBasic knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and mechanical tasksAbility to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of temperatures and conditionsAbility to guide and support developmental disability staff in emergency situations, by phone or in personDocument work orders through software-based reportingMust be available for night/weekend call dutyValid, unexpired Driver's LicenseAbility to drive a company vehicle to work locations in other communities (within 2-3 hours driving distance, one way)Benefits:Health, dental, vision, life insurance401(K) retirement savings planPaid time off and more!
